I am living in the strangest reality. I have met and connected with someone wonderful, who I wish had more time to spend with me. I feel like I’ve met my twin flame, and I adore the other partners I have in my life. Life, barring all other factors, could be considered good.

This is where the problem comes in. The world is breaking. There is war, famine, genocide, suicide, pain, strife, and devastation everywhere.
Smiling feels like a betrayal. In all the letters I have written to Congress and the president, I don’t know what else I can do.
“There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle, because we do not lead single-issue lives. Our struggles are particular, but we are not alone. What we must do is commit ourselves to some future that can include each other and to work toward that future with the particular strengths of our individual identities.”
