I didn’t read very many books in September, but I did finish two more seasons of We’re Alive. In September I read 6 books. If you keep track, I have completed 82% (91 of 110) of my 2023 reading goal. Hilariously, I have actually already read more in October than I did in September. Clearly this month is giving me the time I need to do my favorite activity.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Most of you know I have been making my way through the We’re Alive story by KC Wayland. I finished The Lockdown earlier in September and I loved it! It was nice to see another perspective on those who were in the jail, and it gives a first hand look at Ink. If you are a fan of We’re Alive, you must listen to The Lockdown and the next in the series. Like the first series, this one stressed me out.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Gold Rush is also a part of the We’re Alive series by KC Wayland, however, this little portion is full of humor and gives you an inside look of how the survivors of “Stories of Survival” keep themselves busy, entertained and happy while the inhabit the colony. There is also a side quest to find a truck full of gold, and an attempt to make a western movie. Puck and his merry band of soldiers find themselves in a bunker with two sisters and a movie star who happens to be a prepper. It is heavily suggested that this character aptly named “Gina Anderson,” is based on Jennifer Anniston.

These are the only two pieces of media I am going to review this month, I am currently reading The Fourth Wing finally, so I hope you look forward to that review next month.
