I started reading Heather Armstrong’s Blog Dooce probably about 10 years ago. I was inspired by the weekly rundown, I think it was called “Stuff I found while looking around.” It was a compilation of several different websites, and I always enjoyed the little discoveries that she shared. I am not sure what drew me to her back then, but given the recent news, I understand now.

For those of you who do not know, Heather dealt with depression, she was open about each of her struggles, and she ultimately loss her battle. My heart is truly broken for her children, and I hope they find solace and joy in the archive of blogs that their mother kept.
