I have just started my mini staycation today and this is the first time I have taken any significant time off since I started my new role back in April. Life has felt surreal lately. There is the strange feeling that I am not good enough for my job. Which is strange, because my boss who is very up front is very pleased with my performance, and she even openly asks for my advice. All good indicators of positive progress in a brand new part of the company. Moving from Supply Chain to HR has been difficult, but being able to lean on my Project Management experience to help bolster what I can bring to my current role.
If you are someone who deals with impostor syndrome, how do you handle it?
About today. I started my morning having some oatmeal with mini chocolate chips, raisins, and extra crunchy peanut butter. I needed the extra protein and carbs for my nine mile walk. I set off on my walk at 6:15 am, which was about an hour later than I originally intended. The morning was a perfect blend of strong breezes, sunshine, and the earth was alive with little creatures. The flowers were standing proud after getting some well needed rain yesterday. The dragonflies were munching happily on mosquitos, and the morning could not have been more perfect.
If you have a chance, I hope you are able to see a few sunrises this summer.
