I am a few weeks into my step away from gluten, and since I have started to see and feel a difference in my body. One thing to know about me is that I have a complex set of medical issues that make my life quite difficult. Including but not limited to Hashimoto’s Disease, I had my gallbladder and a large portion of my colon removed, and PCOS. After doing some research and speaking with my doctor, I asked about the impact of going GF. So, how has it been? What was the impact?

Well, I am starting to feel so much better. Previously I was having trouble losing weight, despite working out daily; I dealt with frequent bloating and uncomfy tummy pains. I am not 100% cured, but I’ve lost around eight pounds in the last three weeks and I can tell that my body is responding better to my fitness and new diet routine. I haven’t cut out anything but gluten.
So, do you want to try it? First I recommend talking to a doctor or licensed dietitian, and second, pay attention to your body.
