I walked over 20K steps today, and my feet felt every single one. I mean, obviously, but what I’m saying is, my feet hurt. I am a very sleepy girl. However, I do plan to recap my day.

I started my morning walking along Lake Ontario. It was a brisk 19 degrees out, and the sun felt so good on my skin. I haven’t seen the sun in so long, so this morning was a delightful treat.
Honestly, what happened is that I made it about 2.5 miles before I got lost trying to find a breakfast spot. I took a Lyft back to my hotel after stopping at a Starbucks to use their Wifi. My cell service is so spotty here. It has been difficult to stay connected all day.

I decided to have the full Canadian Breakfast. This included Bacon, Sausage, Potatoes, Eggs, Beans, and Toast. It was perfect for all of the steps that I planned to take. The only thing I did not enjoy was the beans. They were very tomatoey. I know, not a word.

I met a few squirrels today. They ran up to me and said hello. I felt a little strange talking to squirrels. However, I think I might secretly be a Disney princess.

Two things are certain about me. 1. I am going to go to an aquarium and 2. I am going to go to an art museum. I spent a few hours this afternoon walking the halls of the Ontario Museum of Art and The Ripleys Aquarium of Toronto. The art museum was great, huge, with lots of unique exhibits. The Aquarium was packed with children. Like wall-to-wall screaming children, I don’t think I have ever walked through an Aquarium faster… Maybe go for a peaceful walk through the aquarium during the week.

The CN Tower was such a fantastic experience. I went solo, which I thought would be a bit awkward, but honestly, because of how the restaurant was set up, it was quite lovely dining alone. I chose three courses, and wow, it was terrific. I had a glass of water with a CN Sour, which was made with Bullit Bourbon, and I loved it. For my first course, I had seafood chowder. Their serving is small enough to enjoy but not small enough to make you feel like you could go hungry. The next course I had was lamb shanks with roasted garlic. IT FELL OFF OF THE BONE. It was so tender, and the flavor was terrific. The last course was dessert: Hazelnut and Pear Frangipane with Spiced Pumpkin Ice Cream, Apple Puree, red wine glaze, and a pear chip. It came with a side of two candies that were this rich raspberry-flavored jelly. The service was immaculate. The waiter was kind, and attentive, and ensured that I didn’t feel weird being alone without being intrusive. The cost is quite high, but the experience is worth it.
