Today started with Starbucks and ended with a wedding.

I woke up pretty late this morning and I went to get coffee to enjoy on my balcony. I decided to ease into the day and find breakfast later in the morning. I found a tiny Cafe called Dos Cafés that was a couple of blocks from the Museo De Arte De Puerto Rico.

This was the perfect breakfast before heading to the Museum.

I headed to the Museum and I fell in love with the entrance. It was beautiful.

Here are faves..

I spent a few hours by the pool reading before finally heading out to dinner. I went to dinner at 4:30pm because, who doesn’t love an early dinner? I wanted to get mofongo, and there is a place by my hotel that has lobster and shrimp plantain mofongo.

Today was a good day, I’m sure many of you have heard of the blackouts happening in Puerto Rico. The power here has only gone out twice, each time for less than 5 minutes. One of the ways I have been helping is going to locally owned restaurants and tipping well. (I know I spent money at Starbucks, however, I am supporting the people who work there.) I am sure there are other things that I could be doing, and it is important that I’m intentional about where I spend my money while here. Tomorrow I’m planning to spend the day in Old San Juan. Until then…
