If you are looking for a book to show you the complexity of a D/s dynamic, with lots of spicy bondage and super kinky sex scenes, American Prince is for you. This is book two in the New Camelot series by Sierra Simone and it picks up where American Queen left off. I enjoyed this book because I think it shows the passion and love that can build in a D/s dynamic, but it also shows how toxic that dynamic can be if not nurtured and if there isn’t open communication. I liked this book, but honestly, I got a bit bored towards the middle when it came to all of the political discourse. I think that it is difficult to stay in a story like this when you know that some of the scenes are completely implausible. I think if Max was a Senator this would be a bit more believable and it would not have felt so distracting for me.
